Water damage can be unexpected and can come from many different sources. There are three different types of categories when it comes to water damage in your home/building. Category 1 water damage refers to “clean” water, such as water from your dishwasher, sink, or toilet (containing no feces). Category 2 water damage refers to “slightly contaminated” water, such as water that passes through building materials (insolation). Category 3 water damage refers to “grossly contaminated” water, such as sewage water, mouse droppings, etc. SERVPRO is trained on how to effectively remediate all types of water damage that you may encounter. In the event that you have category 3 water damage, avoid touching your mouth and eyes and call SERVPRO to help!
