Centereach Groundwater Damage
The visual shown in the Before Photo illustrates the damage to the wall in this Centereach home. The drywall has been removed, revealing the vapor barrier attached to the cinder block exterior wall. The seepage of the groundwater--known as hydrostatic pressure--forced its way into the cracks in the hollow blocks. SERVPRO understands the need to ensure that after the demolition is concluded, the hollow cells in the cinder blocks are dried to standard levels. If not, then mold can grow, and newly renovated walls and flooring can damage from excess moisture. We can use advanced instruments to ensure that the moisture content of the cement material has been returned to acceptable levels.
